About this program

Traditionally, business leadership has relied on a siloed, hierarchical approach to teams and functions. But modern organizations have evolved, driven by changes in technology, the economy, and society. This has resulted in an increase in the complexity of each organization itself, requiring leaders to reassess their responsibilities in light of the need for cross-functional teams able to deliver on strategic goals.

In the Rotman Senior Leadership online program from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, you’ll gain a toolkit of frameworks and models to produce highly effective organizational teams. These include a congruence model of organizational effectiveness developed by your Program Director, Professor Hugh Arnold, as well as a team leader effectiveness model. With an emphasis on understanding organizational complexity rather than growing individual skills, this program gives you the knowledge needed to face the challenges of senior leadership in a modern organization. During this program, you’ll develop the ability to break down silos, shape organizational culture, and articulate your vision as you lead cross-functional teams towards the future. Ultimately, you’ll walk away equipped with a practical approach to organizational leadership, bolstered by insights from real-world case studies.
